Automobile companies have started announcing increases in the price of vehicles one after the other as the new year begins. Joining this series, now German automobile manufacturer BMW’s two-wheeler unit BMW Motorrad said on Friday that it will increase the prices of all its model range by up to 2.5 percent from January 1, 2025. According to PTI news, the company said in a statement that this change in prices has been made due toan increase in overall input cost and inflationary pressure.

The company officially started its operations as the Indian subsidiary of the BMW Group in April 2017. The brand sells a range of premium motorcycles and scooters in the country. BMW Motorrad sells two-wheelers including the BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS in India.

BMW India has already announced a price hike of up to 3percentt across its entire car range from January next year. Earlier this month, Mercedes-Benz India announced a price hike of up to 3 percent across its vehicle range in India from next month. At the end of the year, most companies announce a price hike in the new year. Apart from these companies, many more automobile companies will announce price hikes in the coming days. Also, most companies cite the rise in input costs as the reason behind this.
