India’s daughters continue to dominate the Tokyo Paralympics, which began on August 24. Where Indian player Bhavinaben Patel won the silver medal in table tennis, India got the first medal. At the same time, Avani Lekhara of India has created history by winning the gold medal in shooting. She won this gold medal in the women’s 10m air event SH-1. This is India’s first gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics. Let us tell you that this victory of Avani, who got India gold, was not so easy, she has struggled a lot in her life to reach this point. Let’s know about the story of Avni’s struggle-
Avni Lekhara of Rajasthan is a resident of Jaipur. Avani lost both her legs in a car accident 9 years ago due to which she is in a wheelchair. As soon as she won the medal, her father Praveen Lekhara told that he could not believe that his daughter had won the gold. The medal was expected but did not think that the daughter would win the gold.
Within five years of the accident, Avani achieved the title of Golden Girl.
Despite losing both her legs in a car accident, Avani did not give up and decided to move on. Just three years after the accident, Avani made shooting her life and within just five years, Avani achieved the title of Golden Girl.
For the first time, the gun did not even rise from the daughter, but today winning the gold has made the country proud.
Avani’s father Praveen Lekhara told that the daughter was completely broken after the accident. She had kept quiet. Did not talk to anyone, went completely into depression. She was so weak that she could not do anything. In which sport should I involve it, I kept thinking, I could not send it to athletics, because there was no life left. After this, I tried shooting and for the first time it did not even raise the gun, but today after the gold medal of the daughter, the national anthem resonated on the podium of the Tokyo Paralympics, which is a matter of great honor.
These difficulties came even in the Corona period
Avani had to face a lot of difficulties for the last two years due to Corona, but her father set a target at home and got Avani to practice. Avani, who is preparing for the Paralympics, practiced on target at home, not only that, her goal was to target gold. For this, she regularly paid attention to the gym and yoga. She also paid attention to diet to keep fit.
