The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, died on Friday. President Zayed Al Nahyan has been ill for several days. He was 73 years old. Following the death of the President, the government has declared 40 days of national mourning. The national flag will remain at half-mast for 40 days. Along with national mourning, a three-day holiday has been announced in all private and government sectors of the country.
Let us tell you, Sheikh Khalifa is the President of the United Arab Emirates since 3 November 2004. In 2019, he was elected President for the fourth time. He was chosen to succeed his father. Many Islamic countries as well as many other major powers have mourned the death of Sheikh Khalifa.
