Fire breaks out in South Korea hospital, 5 dead
At least five people have been killed and 37 others injured after a fire broke out at a hospital in Incheon, about 50 kilometers southeast of Seoul. The dialysis hospital, on the top floor of a four-story building, housed 46 people, including 33 patients, Yonhap news agency quoted officials as saying.
There were three patients among the victims. They were all found on the fourth floor. With the help of 21 fire tenders and 51 personnel, the firefighters brought the fire under control at 11.29 am. His next move was to send rescuers to the fourth floor to see if anyone needed help. Despite the investigation, fire officials believe the fire started at the Screen Golf Facility on the third floor of the building. The building also houses an Oriental Medical Clinic and offices on the second and third floors, as well as restaurants on the first floor.
Five people, including dialysis patients and a nurse, died in the fire, while 41 people suffered minor injuries due to the smoke. Footage from the scene showed several firefighters using an expandable platform to pull patients out of the fire. Medical staff can be seen outside in wheelchairs as patients are being taken to other hospitals.
