Women have given a new direction to the society with their leadership ability: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, 22 September (H.C.). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in the House on Thursday that women have given a new direction to the society with their leadership ability. Women also contributed immensely in the freedom struggle. Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi had declared in that period that ‘I will never give my Jhansi’.

The Chief Minister also discussed the contribution of women Lopamudra, Apala, Shakuntala, Sati Savitri, Anusuiya, Gargi and Maitreyi in the Vedic period. Yogi said that ‘if we see, today is a very special day. The entire day of the House is in the name of women. Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha is going to create history today. For the first time, a special session has been organized for women MLAs. Women will run the house.

Yogi said that the Indian Constitution has given the right to vote to every adult citizen. There is no difference between men and women in our constitution. Women got rights later in England and in many countries.

The Chief Minister informed that women help desks have been set up in all police stations. Female beats have been made. These places are operated by women police personnel only. Action was taken against the criminals involved in crimes against women. Rape has come down by 35%. The Chief Minister also mentioned about Kanya Sumangala Yojana. Told that about 13 lakh girls are getting benefit from this.
