The miscreant who robbed the Patanjali store injured in the police encounter, the partner absconded
GHAZIABAD, 03 August (H.S.). The team of Indirapuram Police and Superintendent of Police Nagar (II) has arrested a miscreant during an encounter near Kanavani Pulia last night. While the other accomplice of the miscreant fled. The miscreant has been injured by the bullet fired by the police and has been admitted to the hospital. The arrested miscreant had carried out the robbery incidents in the Patanjali store located in Vasundhara recently. A pistol, motorcycle and cash worth Rs 8,000 have been recovered from his possession.
Superintendent of Police, Nagar (II) Gyanendra Singh said on Wednesday that the police was checking at night near the Kanavani culvert. During this, two youths riding on a motorcycle passed by. Both looked suspicious. So the police tried to stop for checking, but the miscreants instead of stopping, increased the speed of the motorcycle and started running to escape from the police. After which the police chased both the miscreants and surrounded them at a distance. Seeing the surroundings, the miscreants started firing on the police party. The police also retaliated. In which a miscreant was shot and fell down, who was caught by the police and admitted to the hospital.
Gyanendra Singh told that during interrogation the miscreant has given his name as Vineet Kumar alias Vinny. Who is a resident of Daulat Nagar Colony located in Dadri. He said that the history of the miscreant is being investigated. While the search is on for the absconding miscreant. He will be arrested soon.
