Mayawati’s announcement: Will support NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has announced her support to the NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar for the vice-presidential election. He announced his party’s support on Wednesday.
Mayawati tweeted and said that it is known that due to lack of consensus between the ruling party and the opposition in the election of the country’s highest Presidential post, re-election was conducted for it. Now due to this situation, the election for the post of Vice President is also going to be held on 6th August.
He wrote that, keeping in mind the larger public interest and its own movement, BSP has decided to extend its support to Jagdeep Dhankhar in the election for the post of Vice President and I am officially announcing it today.
Mayawati said that we have taken this decision neither in support of BJP or NDA nor against opposition but keeping in mind our party and movement. BSP has been taking decisions for the weaker, poor and marginalized sections.
