Government does not want to talk on issues related to public: Akhilesh Yadav
Lucknow, 23 September (H.C.). ‘This government doesn’t listen to anyone. The reply of the government which should come in the house is not coming. What the government did about inflation, unemployment and jobs is still not clear. What happened to the government’s claim that it would create a trillion economy? We staged a walkout from the House because there is no response from the government on all these issues.
These allegations were made by Samajwadi Party (SP) and Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav while answering questions from journalists on reaching the SP headquarters while marching on foot after walking out from the proceedings of the House.
Akhilesh Yadav said that today there is drought in some districts of Uttar Pradesh and there is a flood situation in some places. Farmers and people are worried in large numbers. Farmers have not paid for sugarcane. The government has not been able to make arrangements to provide relief. Animals are dying due to lumpy disease. The government of double engine is not able to provide employment. Students are agitating against the issue of increased fees in Allahabad University. ‘How will children study when fees are increased by 500 times?’
What is the government doing for the safety of women? An incident like Lakhimpur has already happened in Hathras. Be it Moradabad incident, women atrocities are not stopping. Law and order is ruined in the state. The government is harassing SP leaders.
Akhilesh questioned the Center’s Agniveer scheme and said that lakhs of students have filled the forms in it. But the government is not clarifying how many people will get jobs.
Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav said that the House should move more on issues related to the people. In this regard, all the opposition parties demanded extension of the proceedings of the House, but this is not being done. Therefore, we have walked out of the proceedings of the House.
