London, 21 June (His). Somerset County Cricket Club has signed Tom Koehler-Cadmore for the upcoming season. Cadmore, 27, has agreed a three-year all-format contract and will join the club this winter.

Former Wisden Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year and England Lions player Cadmore has scored over 3800 first-class runs at an average of 32.30 with a best score of 176.

The right-handed batsman is one of the most influential strikers in domestic cricket and has carved a niche for himself with his stellar performances in several global white-ball franchise tournaments.

He has scored more than 3000 runs in T20 cricket with an average of 30.22 and strike rate of 139.27 and best score of 127.

His record in one-day cricket is impressive as well. He has scored over 1800 runs in ODIs at an average of 34.11 with a best score of 127.

After finalizing the contract, Andy Hurry, Director of Somerset Cricket, said, “We are delighted to be able to secure the services of such a talented batsman who is motivated to play at the highest level. His record speaks for itself in all formats.”

“He has the experience of scoring hundreds across formats, including nine first-class centuries, and we are looking forward to his positive impact across all formats of the game,” he added.

After agreeing to join Somerset, Cadmore said, “I am really looking forward to the next chapter of my career. Somerset is a club that is held in high esteem within the sport and I look forward to contributing to them lifting some trophies over the next few years.”

“I know how passionate the supporters are about cricket here and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of them,” he added.
