The parties and opposition parties of Punjab have united on this issue. The allotment of land to Haryana for the new assembly is being opposed in Chandigarh. In the midst of this protest, the Chandigarh administration has made it clear that anyone can buy land by paying money. Haryana is not being given free land. Land or price will be taken in exchange for land. This land is being given on the orders of the Central Government. If they say Punjab, they will also be given land for the new assembly.

According to the information, the Chandigarh administration has also proposed to Punjab and Haryana to build flats in the IT park for their officers and legislators. The administration had informed the Union Home Ministry that the cost of land in the city is Rs 64 crore per acre. The land preferred by Haryana for the Assembly is on IT Park Road from Railway Light Point towards Manimajra. That land is reserved for the institutional sector only. The new assembly building is just two kilometers away from Panchkula.

Let us tell you that Haryana had demanded land from the central government for the new assembly. On the instructions of the Central Government, the Haryana Government was shown three different places. Out of this, Haryana has finalized 10 acres of land from Railway Light Point to IT Park. According to the information, the land has not been given yet, so the process is going on.
