Phone tapping case: OSD called again by Delhi Police
New Delhi, May 13 (H.S.). The Crime Branch of Delhi Police, which is probing the phone tapping case, has once again sent a notice to Lokesh Sharma, OSD to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for questioning. Lokesh Sharma has been asked to appear before the crime branch office in Prashant Vihar on Saturday. In this case, the police has sent him several notices and he has come only once to join the interrogation.
According to the police, the Crime Branch had registered an FIR in March 2021 regarding phone tapping. In this, Lokesh Sharma, OSD to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was made the main accused. The crime branch, which is probing the case, had sent notices to Lokesh Sharma for questioning in the months of October and November, but he did not join the investigation.
Since then, the crime branch was continuously in talks with him to join the investigation. A notice was also sent to him. He had come to join the interrogation in the month of December last. He was interrogated for three hours.
Police sources said that Lokesh Sharma did not cooperate during interrogation in this case. Due to this, the crime branch did not get answers to many questions. He was told on his way out that the crime branch would call him again for questioning if required. In this episode, the police has once again called Lokesh Sharma for questioning after giving a notice. He has been asked to appear before the crime branch office in Sector 14 Rohini on Saturday morning. Apart from the investigating officer here, senior officers can also interrogate him.
