Monsoon in Maharashtra: Heavy monsoon in Maharashtra, Yellow alert issued in 15 districts, know which areas will receive heavy rains

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 15 districts of the state. Monsoon which entered Maharashtra from Konkan is now moving towards Gujarat.
Monsoon has been disappointing for the last three weeks. It didn’t rain even after being active. But the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 15 districts of Maharashtra including Mumbai from Saturday. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Kolhapur, Satara, Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal districts. Apart from this, an orange alert has been declared in Sindhudurg from June 18 to 21 and in Ratnagiri from June 20 to 21.

Although the Meteorological Department has claimed that the monsoon has engulfed entire Maharashtra, the Marathwada region is still dry. Not only this, people are very worried about the humidity. There has been no rain in many districts of the region so far. But according to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Marathwada as well. Moderate to heavy rain is likely over Marathwada and Vidarbha from Monday. Farmers have made preparations for sowing of Kharif crop.
Forecast of heavy rainfall in Konkan region
After the arrival of monsoon in the state, the monsoon spread through Konkan and spread to Mumbai and adjoining areas. After this the monsoon covered Vidarbha including northern Maharashtra. But it seems that the monsoon is becoming less frequent in Western Maharashtra and Marathwada region. But with the new forecast of the Meteorological Department, the farmers of these areas are also expecting good rains. After June 18, moderate to heavy rains are likely over Marathwada and Vidarbha and heavy to very heavy rains over Konkan region.
