International Yoga Day 2022: ‘Yoga is not only a part of life, but now a way of life’, PM Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (June 21) led the main event of International Yoga Day 2022 in the backdrop of the iconic Mysore Palace and said that “Yoga is not only a part of life but is becoming a way of life. , Before doing yoga with over 15,000 people The Prime Minister said that “Yoga brings peace to our universe”. He said, “Yoga is not only a part of life for us today, for the people of the world, but yoga is now becoming a way of life.”
Modi said, “This entire universe begins with our own body and soul. The universe begins with us.” “And, yoga makes us aware of everything within us and creates a sense of awareness,” he said.
“Yoga brings us peace. Peace through yoga is not just for individuals. Yoga brings peace in our society. Yoga brings peace to our nations and the world. And, Yoga brings peace to our universe”, the Prime Minister said.
He said, “No matter how stressed we are, a few minutes of meditation relaxes us and increases our productivity. So, we don’t have to take yoga as extra work. We have to know yoga, we have to live yoga.”
Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Mysore royal descendant Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and “Rajmata” Pramoda Devi, were among those present.
Since 2015, International Yoga Day is celebrated across the world on 21 June every year. The theme of this year’s Yoga Day is “Yoga for Humanity”.
