Government should soon appoint librarians – Suman
Araria 05 Aug (H.S.). Senior RJD leader Suman Kumar Mallick has demanded the Nitish government of the state to make direct restoration of the vacant posts of librarians in the state at the earliest after the appointment of teachers. He demanded that library science is a big field in itself. Mr. Mallick said that there are libraries in all government schools and colleges in Bihar. But over the years thousands of posts of librarians are vacant there.
He said that the candidates doing graduation and mastering in library and information science in the state are waiting for the appointment of librarians for the vacant posts for years. Mallick said that in such a situation, the state government should now make employment on the vacant posts of Librarian, Deputy Librarian, Assistant Librarian, Library Assistant at the earliest. Planning will also be done on the lying posts.
Mallick said that with this decision of the government, unemployed candidates who have completed their graduation and master’s in library and information science will get a big opportunity to join the stream of development and they will also get a chance to lead a better life. He said that while protecting the interests of youth, the Nitish government should take a positive decision on this soon, so that the process of employment of library degree holders sitting in the hope of employment can start.
