Bikaner has great potential for adventure tourism including desert safari
Bikaner, 22 June (H.C.). The Forest and Tourism Departments should make coordinated efforts to develop new sites and facilities for ecotourism in the district. Under the chairmanship of Collector Bhagwati Prasad Kalal, the concerned officials including tourism, city development trust, public works, Devasthan Department, scout guide, forest department participated in the meeting of the District Tourism Development Standing Committee on Wednesday.
He said that there is a lot of potential for adventure tourism including desert safaris and many new places can be developed in this direction. Special attention should be paid to this. He said that taking care of various places including Gajner, Raisar, Darbari, Kodmadesar, micro planning should be done for plantation of trees, construction of Ghats, encroachment free agor, attractive sheds etc. The Collector directed to organize training for the scout catads to teach them the art of sand. The District Collector said that under the budget announcement, the works which have been fixed to be done in Laxminath temple and Sursagar should be completed in a time bound manner, taking priority.
