31 died in just 12 days in Chardham Yatra, uproar in health department
There was an influx of devotees as soon as the Chardham Yatra started. But since the beginning of Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, 31 devotees have died so far. One of them is a local resident of Badrinath. State DG Health Dr. Shailaja while talking to Bhatt said that all these deaths were due to high blood pressure, heart attack and mountain sickness. This time in Uttarakhand, a large number of devotees are reaching for Chardham Yatra. But it has been only 12 days since the journey started. In such a situation, the death of such a large number of devotees is raising big questions on the administration.
The death of such a large number of devotees during the Chardham Yatra has also created a stir in the health department. After which several guidelines have been issued by the department for the health and safety of the passengers. According to these guidelines, devotees are required to check their health before traveling to Char Dham, if there is any disease, then the doctor of counseling form and their contact numbers. Also, patients with heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure are advised to take special care while walking at high altitudes.
For health related information, 104 helplines have been issued by the Health Department. Along with this, in case of any difficulty during the journey of Char Dham, 108 helpline number can also be contacted for ambulance. Two years after Corona, Char Dham Yatra has started, in which a large number of devotees are reaching. Due to which there has also been an uproar.
