One more girl wishes she couldn’t give this testimony, because it implies that they were raped multiple times in several places at the age of 16. Three FIRs have been filed, and 15 suspects have also been detained. As for the men, the police reported on Friday that the girl has been raped by several men as she is now 18 years old and claimed this.
Furthermore, police revealed that five individuals were detained in relation to two FIRs lodged at Pathanamthitta, while one individual was already in custody in a separate case. Moreover, adding 4 rape FIR’s is only the sham of the incident.
The police officials reported that they have insurmountable proof that mottled out that she was raped by multiple perpetrators which include her coach, some of her fellow athletes and her classmates. The cop sources revealed that the girl claimed to have contacted the possible perpetrators through her father’s cellphone. They continued by saying that upon further inquisition of the cellphone details and information that was written in the diary that the victim had in her possession, they were able to identify a total of 40 individuals.
Counselling from the Child Welfare Committee unearthed the truth which was that the girl had been raped.
As per the police sources, it is estimated that at least a total of 60 people would be part of the assault. This issue arose when the victim and her teachers went to the unlucky welfare committee which conducted counseling sessions for the victim. The teachers reported about changes in the behavior of the girl and that was the reason for conducting an investigation further.
Finally, the committee reported the Police who started their investigation. The police reported, “While the video recording of the victim was being done, policewomen were present in the locality to prepare to take up additional material for the case”. Furthermore, in the case, the CWC stated that individuals from outside the Pathanamthitta district but inside the state were likely to have played a part.
An accused in the case has been registered under POCSO and SC/ST Act.
In this regard a senior police officer stated that since the girl was still a teenager at that time, various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) at will be imposed against the accused also.
