Mosquito bite: Some people get bitten more by mosquitoes, know the important reason behind this

New York : Mosquitoes bite some people more than others. Its secret is hidden in the skin of the person. American inventor Voshal Maria Elena de Obaldia studied the subject in his laboratory for about three years. He tried to find out why mosquitoes are attracted to certain people like a magnet. They found that the different odors of the skin microbiota are responsible for this. In the study published in the journal Cell, researchers concluded that fatty acids released from the skin produce an intoxicating odor that mosquitoes cannot resist. “There is a strong link between the presence of large amounts of fatty acids on your skin and mosquito bites,” according to Voshall, professor at The Rockefeller University and chief scientific officer of the Harvard Hughes Medical Institute.

The researchers divided the participants into two categories of low and high mosquito bite exposure. Through chemical analysis techniques, they identified 50 molecular compounds that were present in higher amounts in the sebum (the moisture barrier of the skin) of participants who received more mosquito bites. Meanwhile, it was found that the skin of people who have been bitten by mosquitoes produces more carboxylic acid than normal.
