Mumbai: Bollywood actress Neena Gupta has revealed that she had planned a second season of her acclaimed television show “Saans”, but the channel “rejected”. This has been revealed by Neena Gupta in the second edition of the web series ‘Masaba Masaba’ based on the life of her and her designer and actress daughter Masaba Gupta. The second season of the series, directed by Sonam Nair, released on Netflix last week.

Neena Gupta told that about three-four years ago she had several meetings with the channel, but the matter did not go ahead as she did not like the plan. Actress Neena Gupta told the media, ‘I told Sonam Nair and the writers that this is what happened to me. I planned for ‘Saans 2’ and it was rejected. The way he treated me was not right at all. This is a true incident that happened to me and that’s why I wanted to put it.
In the year 2019, the actress announced plans to make the second version of ‘Saans’. From writing the story of ‘Star Plus’ romantic show ‘Saans’ to directing it, Neena Gupta did it. The show, which came in 1998, starred Neena Gupta along with Kanwaljit Singh and Kavita Kapoor. (agency)
