5G service will start in India this month, Airtel has given official information

5G service will start in India: After the auction of 5G spectrum is over, every Indian is eager to know when the 5G service will start. A few days back, Jio had indicated that it would launch its 5G services on August 15. After that now Airtel has also officially said that it will launch 5G services in India this month i.e. in August. Airtel has officially announced that it will launch its 5G services in August 2022. Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung have partnered with Airtel to launch 5G services in India. Airtel will work with these three companies on the expansion of 5G in the country. It has not been disclosed when this service will start. But it is believed that Airtel will also launch its 5G service on August 15 to compete with Jio.

 

Who bid for how many crores in the auction?

The auction of 5G spectrum has been completed recently. A total of 72,098 MHz of spectrum was offered in this auction. Out of this, 51,236 MHz have been sold. A total of Rs 1,50,173 was bid in this auction and Jio has won in this. Reliance Jio made the highest bid of Rs 88,078 crore. After this Bharti Airtel is at number two. Airtel placed a bid of Rs 43,084 crore, while Vodafone Idea, ranked third, placed a bid of Rs 18,799 crore.

Who got how much spectrum?

Reliance Jio: 24,740 MHz (700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz)
Bharti Airtel: 19,867 MHz (900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz)
Vodafone Idea: 6228 MHz (1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2500 MHz, 3300 MHz and 26 GHz)
Adani: 400 MHz (in 26 GHz)

 

Airtel will give competition to Jio

Prior to Airtel, Jio has indicated that it will launch 5G services in India on August 15. Jio Chairman Akash Ambani recently said that ‘We will celebrate the Amrit Festival of Independence by rolling out 5G across the country. Jio is committed to providing affordable world class 5G and 5G enabled service in the country.
