Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China may increase tension with India, this has happened before as well

Kathmandu:  Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has officially announced his plan to visit China on Friday. Even before he visits Beijing, he has claimed that his upcoming official visit to China will be very successful. Let us tell you that this will be KP Sharma Oli’s first visit to a neighboring country after assuming the post of Prime Minister. Oli said, “I am going to visit China on December 2 and this will not be just a visit.” He said that he would keep the interests of the people and the country in mind during the visit.

Oli clarified that he was not in a position to ask for a loan from China during the visit. He said, “Increasing productivity will be my priority.” However, the government has not yet officially announced Oli’s visit and the Prime Minister’s program. But Oli himself has told everything about his visit. He will again break Nepal’s tradition and reach China. Because usually, the Prime Minister of Nepal has been visiting India first. But KP Oli also broke this tradition and visited China during his first tenure. Now after the fall of Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s government a few months ago, KP Oli has again become the PM. 

Tension between India and Nepal had increased due to KP Oli’s previous visit to China.

KP Sharma Oli had also visited China first in his first term. He is a supporter of the Communist Party of China. Hence, he broke the tradition and visited China. After returning from there, Nepal staked its claim on India’s Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura. This had made India-Nepal relations quite tense. Now once again he is going on a visit to China. In such a situation, sourness in India-Nepal relations is considered certain. The reason is also that KP Oli works against India at the behest of China.
