UP: STF will be seen with new talent and new strength

Lucknow, May 23 (Hindustan Times). Uttar Pradesh’s Special Task Force (STF) will soon be seen with a new look and new strength. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently held a review meeting on UPSTF. In this, he expressed happiness over the swift action by the STF against the state’s heinous criminals, illegal drug dealers, illegal arms smugglers, exam mafias and fake teachers and terrorists.

Meanwhile, he gave the go-ahead to Agra, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Bareilly units of UPSTF for their own building, land and huge budget for their construction work. After which the construction work was started. At the same time, funds have also been released for transit hostels, furthering the expansion of the Noida unit. The government has sanctioned a total amount of 2046.29 lakhs for all the units.

– Building to Agra Unit Rs. 284.22 lakh received

In the review meeting of UP STF, officials told the Chief Minister that Agra, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Bareilly units of UP STF are being managed from police lines. Due to which it is difficult to work. On this the Chief Minister instructed all the units to allocate funds for their respective buildings.

On that the government has issued a huge budget to UP STF for land along with construction works. According to the information, as soon as the budget is announced, the construction work has been started by marking the land. For Agra unit of STF Rs. 284.22 lakhs has been sanctioned, out of which the first installment i.e. Rs. 1,42,11,000 half of the amount released.

Construction work has started with land marking for Agra unit. Similarly, the first installment of 253.62 lakhs was released for Gorakhpur unit, 258.86 lakhs for Prayagraj unit, 228.22 lakhs for Bareilly unit i.e. half the amount. Also, as soon as the fund is released, the construction work has been started by marking the land. Besides, an amount of 962.193 lakhs was released for transit hostel land while expanding the Noida unit. In this order, the process of land acquisition for Ayodhya unit has been completed.

23 more posts will be recruited

After the Yogi government gave the go-ahead for the formation of an STF unit in Ayodhya, which is in a highly sensitive area, an order was issued to create 13 posts at the government level. The recruitment process for these posts has also been completed. These posts include one deputy superintendent of police, one inspector, four sub-inspectors, four computer operators and three class IV posts. Also, a letter has been written to the government to create another 23 posts. As soon as the order is issued, four head constables, 16 constables and three constables will be recruited on the posts of driver etc. Apart from this, Rs.59.18 lakh has been sanctioned for purchasing new vehicles.
