Jhansi: The accused lodged in the district jail for murder was produced in the court on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the accused got drunk in the court premises during the hearing. This worsened his condition. He was rushed to the medical college for treatment. where he is undergoing treatment.
Kalka Prasad, son of Babi resident Rohit alias Chhotu Sharma lodged in Jhansi district jail in a murder case, had a court date on Tuesday. When he was being brought to appear in the district court premises, he suddenly fell ill. It was later discovered that he had been poisoned in a water bottle. Accused Rohit was hurriedly brought to Jhansi Medical College.
Meanwhile, it was stated that in the year 2020, there was a road accident in Babi’s police station area, in which 20 lakh rupees were later demanded. A case of murder was filed against 10 people including Rohit for not fulfilling the demand. Rohit has been in jail for the past two years in this case. The rest are out on bail. Accused Rohit’s case is pending in court. The other side felt that Rohit would be proved innocent. Disturbed by this, a plot was hatched to kill Rohit and during the trial he was watered by a boy named Sandesh. Allegedly, the water was laced with poisonous substance, due to which his health deteriorated. He is currently undergoing treatment.
