Kushinagar: The former minister was hacked to death with a sharp weapon on a deserted road late on Sunday night under the Ramkola police station area of the district. On Monday morning, the villagers protested the killing by blocking the Kaptanganj-Naurangia road. In this case, the police have registered a case of murder against four people.
According to information received, 55-year-old Ramharakh Yadav, former village president of Ghotahi village, was returning home late on Sunday night after attending the marriage ceremony of Ram Ishwar Kushwaha at Tole Chaiti Tola, adjacent to his house. In front of Mani Tola, in front of the gate of the cemetery on the bank of Mani Tal, the miscreants who had been ambushed in advance killed the former president with sharp weapons. The pedestrian informed the police. After the identity of the deceased, his family members were informed about the incident. The police inspected the incident site carefully and took possession of the dead body and sent it for postmortem. Late in the night Superintendent of Police Dhawal Jaiswal inspected the spot and instructed subordinate officers to take necessary action. Enraged by the incident, the villagers blocked the road today. On receiving the information, the police calmed down the people by assuring action.
