Nine killed in stampede, accident during football match in El Salvador

Nine people died in a tragic accident in the Central American country of El Salvador. Actually, there was a stampede during a football match, in which nine people lost their lives. The National Civil Police of El Salvador has given this information. Police told that an attempt was made to enter the stadium to watch the match, during which a stampede broke out.

Accident due to escape

According to media reports, the football match was between Alianza and FAS, the local teams of El Salvador. Both these teams are one of the most favorite teams of El Salvador, that is why a large number of spectators reached the stadium to watch this match. Meanwhile, some people tried to forcibly enter the stadium, leading to a stampede and nine people died of suffocation. About 500 people have also been injured in the stampede, out of which the condition of two is said to be critical. Many injured have been admitted to the hospital.

The accident happened 16 minutes after the start of the football match, due to which the match was called off. Salvadoran Health Minister Francisco Albi said emergency teams were stationed outside the stadium. Several ambulances are also parked outside the stadium, which took the injured to the hospital.
