World famous mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa has set a world record for the highest peak by climbing Mount Everest for the 27th time.

According to Nepal’s tourism department, 53-year-old guide Kami Rita climbed Mount Everest for the 27th time at 8.30 am on Wednesday. With this, he has once again made this record in his name. Because one of his fellow Sherpa climbers Pasang Dawa equaled his record and climbed Everest for the 26th time three days ago.

However, this record is now back in the name of Kami Rita. Kami Rita was leading a group of climbers with whom he scaled the 8,849-metre Everest on Wednesday. They are safe and sound.

May is also considered the best month to climb Everest. The weather is mostly favorable during this period. Kami Rita first climbed Everest in 1994 and has been climbing the mountain every year since then.
