Now, about 16 days after this accident, on Wednesday, the army found four children alive. They also have an 11-month-old child. This information has been given by President Gustavo Petro himself.
President Gustavo Petro said that the army had launched a search operation and today they got this success. It is a matter of happiness for the country. Four children, including an 11-month-old baby, were found alive on Wednesday after an accident two weeks ago in Colombia’s dense Amazon.
Let us tell you that the authorities had engaged more than 100 jawans along with sniffer dogs in the search operation. It was engaged in the search for missing children after the plane crash on 1 May. Three adults died in the incident. Officials told that after the accident the children were wandering in the forest of South Kaketa. The age of these children is said to be 4, 9 and 13 years and one child is only 11 months old.
A child’s drinking bottle and half-eaten fruit were found during the search. After this the search was intensified. Earlier on Monday and Tuesday, soldiers found the bodies of the pilot and two adults. One of the dead passengers was a mother of four.
