1751 women killed their husbands alive; the prize was thousand rupees; now the accounts are being settled
Suspense Crime, Digital Desk : Women who do not have husbands are given pension of thousand rupees monthly which is some kind of help to run life and they are from Prayagraj division. Such women have misused the schemes and got a thousand rupees from government for the widow pension using fake papers saying their alive husbands are dead.

UP News: Taking the advantage of government aid for living of poor desolate women, they said their alive husbands are dead by using fake documents and asked for a thousand rupees under the widow scheme. It's startling that there were not one or two women, but 1751 women in Prayagraj division who took a thousands from the government while lying; out of them 619 women belonged to Prayagraj only. This fact was unveiled when investigation was started in the department after complaint.
Woman & Child Development Department provide widow pensions for monthly hundred rupees and said this money serves as relief in their life and after every 3 months four sums of 1000 rupees are sent in their accounts. If a woman’s husband dies, a formal application has to be filled by the applicant women stating annual income along with a death certificate of the deceased husband, this application then is verified by the department and after it payment is sent to their accounts. It was during verification process that a total of 619 cases in Prayagraj itself had used fake death certificate and were put aside and later interrogated.

A total of 1751 people across the entire district has been found to have falsely mentioned their husbands to be dead in the 1000 rupee scheme and Prayagraj has recorded a highest figure with 619 people, whereas Fatehpur 475, Pratapgarh 336 and Kaushambi with 321 people following in this scam. Most of them were exposed during the verification of the papers by department.

There is a hundred thousand beneficiaries in Prayagraj
There are 150000 people who are beneficiaries of the said scheme in Prayagraj. District probation officer Sarvjeet Singh said: 'Verification process is being carried out for all the applications where fraudulent individuals have been excluded.'
They are wrongly availing the money from Social Welfare department also
These aren't only people misusing the system of Women & child development department, but there are seven cases of wrong payments in Mass Marriage scheme registered over past few years and various cases are registered under old age pension scheme too but they were never compensated as there were no rules to recover from them hence the department's fund went on loss.
